1874 Post War belt plates are made with the belt bar on the back of the buckle and you cannot see it and worn like a one piece or modern. The 1851 Eagle Officers has a belt keeper that the buckle hook connects and a belt bar that you can see when wearing and is a two piece type belt plate when worn.

TG-MHBRICK Malvern Hill Brick (4" wide x 8" long) Cast in solid red brass and original pattern brick was made from the red clay at Malvern Hill. Sold in the late 1800's for .75cents. The brick ovens are still in the Malvern Hill field and bricks are long gone.
