TG-Fl.Tree Florida Two Pirce Belt Plate The palm tree, standing alone, although sometimes mistaken for the palmetto of South Carolina, is representative of the State of Florida. Thus, this plate is ascribed to the Florida Militia, about 1850. "American Military Insignia" 1800 - 1851 by J. Duncan Campbell and Edgar M. Howell.
