I dug this Confederate States two piece with sword hanger and Confederate Carbine Buckle with carbine hook from the White Oak Swamp, VA Seven Days battlefield along with the remains of the saddle. Also dug several other C.S. two piece belt plates here.

  and surrounding Richmond, VA campsites and battlefields. 
The original  belt plates are in Gary Williams pattern collection and used to cast
the  reproductions.

TG-CS1 Confederate States Two Piece Artillery Belt Plate Note the raised circle below the CS on the center disc. The letters CS were pressed into the sand mold and the circle is where the person making the sand mold pressed the letters a little too deep showing the round tool to which the CS letters were attached. They used a plain tongue Artillery two piece to cast this type belt plate.

Take a look at the buckles these old Confederate Veterans are wearing. The Confederate on the left is wearing the G-46 CS with stars around the wreath two piece, a very rare buckle. Confederate on the right is wearing a pre-war union Eagle Officers belt plate. These were probably the belt plates they wore 1861-1865.
