"You will not find a better reproduction anywhere. Hanover Brass was the first to cast these different date belt plates, if you wish a first generation casting, order from Hanover Brass Foundry. There are many people copying my belt plates and losing much of the fine detail. Remember Hanover Brass Foundry has the original pattern. This catalog has been printed to serve as a reference to tell reproductions from originals. Some of the plates are such good copies that people have aged them and sold them as original. If at any time you have a question, I will be glad to answer. If you use this book for a reference, REMEMBER, always compare the face detail, it cannot be changed. The backs can be filed and reworked to look like an original. Remember: I will be glad to tell if I made the buckle.
